Storage, but make it beautifu

Closets are one of those spaces that seem like they should be easy — just shelves and rods, right? But like all the hardworking parts of a home, they’re better when they’re built around real life. That means thinking through the details: where the boots go, how the laundry moves, how much you actually fold vs. hang. A great closet feels effortless, but it’s deeply personal. It clears the mental clutter while making space for the things that matter most.

At Susan Yeley Homes, we treat closet design with the same creativity and intention we bring to kitchens, offices, and living rooms. Whether it’s a primary suite walk-in, a kid’s room closet that grows with them, or an entryway built-in that makes coming and going feel seamless, we take time to understand what works for your routines. Maybe that means drawers built to house art supplies or a designated bin for your dog's winter gear.

Closets don’t have to be hidden, either. In our Midcentury Marvel project, a high-functioning hallway closet serves as a command center, complete with labeled drawers and pull-out shelves.

We believe great storage should feel like part of the home, not an afterthought. With the right design, even your closet can be a space you’re proud to open.
