HOW WE CHARGE

You will learn quickly that if you engage with SYH, we will need to talk about all kinds of delicate subjects! Money is often the first and certainly one of the most important. Creating a home you love is an investment of both heart and resources, so it is important we are clear and transparent from the start.  We provide custom fee estimates based on our hourly rate and your unique scope, and ask for half that estimate to kick things off.  We carefully track hours and expenses and request the second half of the fee estimate when the first is depleted, with additional deposits after that if necessary. If your home is farther than Bloomington, Indianapolis or Central Indiana, we will estimate travel costs for site visits above and beyond our fee estimate. If there are any unused funds at the end of the project, we'll refund them to you. (Obviously!) Your financial investment will depend on many factors, including project complexity and size, how you process information and make decisions, and any surprise twists and turns in the design and build process.
