We believe that the qualities that make a home beautiful and functional also extend to our communities: things like thoughtful planning, careful stewardship, and conscientiously designed spaces for all who live there to work and play, gather and retreat. We believe we are part of many communities, from our world to our families, and we take great pride in our beloved Midwest, our Hoosier state, and our home town of Bloomington, Indiana. We assist newly arriving families who fled violence in their home countries as they adjust to life in our community, reacquire job skills, address urgent medical, dental and trauma concerns, raise their children and practice their faith in safety. These families are asylum seekers or refugees who follow our immigration laws and strive to succeed and be a vital part of our community.
