Happy Midcentry
Project Overview: This compact mid-century home near Indiana University’s main campus in Bloomington showcases how thoughtful interior design can transform spaces with strategic layout changes and careful furniture selection.
Client Description: These homeowners sought to inject vibrancy and personality into their mid-century home, which had great bones but felt bland. They appreciated our phased approach to design implementation, allowing for careful curation over time.
Design Solutions: Our interior designers developed a comprehensive plan that began with high-impact elements: custom built-ins, strategic lighting, and a fresh paint scheme featuring a distinctive deep blue-green window detail. The design process included careful vintage sourcing, resulting in the perfect Etsy rug find. Subsequent phases incorporated a new sofa, kitchen updates, and a drop zone featuring hook boards crafted by local artisans.
Outcomes: This project demonstrates our expertise in creating very personalized and elevated spaces in simple architectural shells and over time, through a thoughtful design evolution. With patience and attention to detail, a bland space can become a home filled with character and color.
