When we design these central spaces, we don't start with furniture placement — we start with you. Do you need conversation-friendly seating for game nights? A reading nook for escaping with novels? A statement fireplace for Midwest winters? Space for the art collection that brings you joy? These considerations shape both our architectural approach and our décor selections.
We transform "meh" spaces into "wow" spaces. We open walls and add skylights or clerestory windows to flood dated spaces with light. We track down the perfect vintage rug to make a room feel collected, not decorated.
Our living rooms feel both grounded and uplifting (yes, a SYH space is both!), with texture that invites touch, lighting that sets different moods, and a balance of statement pieces and quiet moments. We create living spaces with the same qualities we value in our favorite humans: depth, texture, intrigue, light and lightness, color, whimsy, and warmth.
