Atrium house

Connected Again

Before: Designed by Earl Flansburgh in the 1970s, this micentury gem had great flow, great light, and one very unfortunate kitchen. Tucked away with tiny doors and zero sightlines, it felt like an afterthought in an otherwise thoughtful home.

After: We gave the kitchen the respect it deserved, reworking the layout so it now connects to the atrium and the outdoors. Custom tambour, terrazzo tile, and crisp cabinetry let the original architecture shine. If Earl had a do-over, we think he’d approve.
