Crafted for Today

Before: This beloved Bloomington bungalow had beautiful bones and some gorgeous updates to the living areas up front - but the functional core of the house just wasn’t up to 21st-century snuff.  The kitchen was boxed in and blah, the back porch was underused, and storage was more afterthought than asset.

After:  We opened the kitchen up while honoring the home’s Craftsman soul. Now, the dining room flows right into the kitchen, and the kitchen does not disappoint: custom cabinetry is both functional and elegant, and new substantial, stained wood trim matches the craftsmanship of the rest of the home. A reimagined back porch became a mudroom and ensuite closet. A pantry replaced a back, duplicative stairwell that nobody missed. And outside? A new deck that's just the beginning of the long-game outdoor vision. Craftsman bones now meet modern life, paving the way for a new generation to live and thrive here.
