A 1950’s Ranch Reimagined
Before: From the street, it was classic 1950s: modest, boxy, untouched for decades. Inside? Even more of a time capsule. Low ceilings, dark rooms, shag carpet hiding who knows what, and not nearly enough space to live the way we do in the 21st century.
After: Still humble up front; total party in the back. The gut renovation added a soaring, light-filled rear wing, but preserved the home’s original footprint and its midcentury spirit. The new addition brings modern flow and drama, while the front keeps the understated charm typical of the neighborhood. It’s lagom in action: just the right amount of everything, with no square foot wasted and no character lost.
